Tabo 'du khang: Vairocana
Mahāvairocana, central image of the Vajradhātu-maņḍala.
Four separate back-to-back images are placed on a elaborate lotus and lion throne. Each of the figures once performed a variant of the gesture of teaching the Buddhist law (Luczanits 2004:44, Klimburg-Salter 1997:95).
